Macreddin is a welcome detour from the Wicklow Way. It can best be described as a holiday village with a strong emphasis on outdoor activities and wholesome food. At the core is the Brook Lodge Hotel and the Wells Spa. Stemming from this there is also a series of restaurants, pubs and a café that all serve food.
For outdoor activities there is the Macreddin Golf Club. This 18 hole course was designed by the Irish golfing hero, Paul McGinley. Horse-riding is also available at the Macreddin Stables. Treks take in the surrounding 300 acres of woodland and riverside trails.
