Meadowside B&B is located on the edge of the town centre of Bunclody, on the N60 road to Enniscorthy. It is within easy walking distance to the many shops, restaurants, cafés and other businesses that the town has to offer.
Meadowside is an historic two-storey Georgian-style townhouse. The front of the house is around 200 years old and retains many original features, whilst a more recent extension to rear of the house providing more contemporary facilities.
This is a four star bed and breakfast that is approved by Fáilte Ireland. Each of the four bedrooms has an ensuite with shower. There is a television in every room showing the Saorview selection of Irish stations. Tea and coffee making facilities are available for guests to use within their room.
Although Meadowside is based in a central location in the town, it does have off-street parking. Foreign guests who may not have brought a mobile phone should note that there is a coin-operated phone available within the house.
Guests looking to spend some extra time in Bunclody can visit Newtownbarry House. This 19th Century House and Gardens is set on the banks of the River Slaney. In addition to a tour of the main house, visitors can also enjoy the art gallery, craft shop and have a coffee in the farm café. In the surrounding grounds outside there is a sunken garden, a rose garden and a man-made lake to explore.
Walkers using public transport to access the Wicklow Way should note the proximity of Meadowside to the bus stop at the Market Square in Bunclody, as it is just a two minute walk away from the B&B. Transport to or from the trail at Clonegal can also be organised, provided enough advance notice is given. Baggage transfer can also be organised for walkers with some prior notice.
