25th September 2011. Mountain Meitheal will be starting a new project in Glendalough. They will be working in the Wicklow Mountains National Park repairing a section of trail which was damaged during the floods last year. The work will include the construction of stone steps, stone pitching and crib walling.
17th September 2011. Join the staff of the Wicklow Mountains National Park on a gentle stroll around Glendalough to learn how to identify trees. Discover their history, folklore, ecology and uses, from the mighty oak, the King of the Trees, to the delicate Mountain Ash. Due to popular demand, this walk is being offered twice - once in the morning and once in the afternoon.
10th September 2011. Work continues at Knockree, repairing a section of the Wicklow Way which is seriously eroded. The work will include the construction of stone steps, log steps, water bars and bench cutting. If you are a not a regular volunteer then why not come along and give it a try?
7th September 2011. Volunteers are now wanted to assist on the Dublin Mountains Way. Interested parties should apply before the 30th of September.
