Our next work day will be Sunday 25th of September and we will be starting a new project in Glendalough. If you are a regular volunteer we are looking forward to seeing you out again. If you have recently joined our mailing list why not come along and give it a try? We will be working in the Wicklow Mountains National Park repairing a section of trail which was damaged during the floods last year. The work will include the construction of stone steps, stone pitching and crib walling.
Meet at the Glendalough Interpretative Centre where we will organize the transport. It will be necessary to limit the number of cars travelling to site.
The first task will be to get the tools to site which will take time and energy, as this is the set up for the project no special skills are required.
Please meet at 10.30am. Come prepared for a day in the hills, be prepared for all weathers, wear appropriate footwear. A pack lunch is advisable including a hot drink. A change of clothes is recommended for the homeward journey.
Mountain Meitheal will provide the tools and gloves. Why not bring a friend - new comers are always welcome.
