Tree ID Walk in Wicklow Mountains National Park
Learn to identify our various tree species.

Join the staff of the Wicklow Mountains National Park on a gentle stroll around Glendalough to learn how to identify trees. Discover their history, folklore, ecology and uses, from the mighty oak, the King of the Trees, to the delicate Mountain Ash. Due to popular demand, this walk is being offered twice - once in the morning and once in the afternoon.

Date: Saturday, 17th September 2011.

Times: Tours shall start at 11am and 2.30pm.

Location: The Information Office, by the Upper Lake.

Practicalities: This walk is for adults only. No dogs. Each walk lasts 1-2 hours, but it shall be at a very gentle pace and not venturing very far. This event is free of charge, but please be aware that the Upper Lake car park (Wicklow Co. Council) has a €4.00 charge.

Booking: Booking is essential. Each walk is limited to 15 places. To book, please phone (0404) 45425. Bookings will be taken from Saturday, 3rd of September.
