New Map for the Dublin Mountains

1st November 2010

A detailed map of the Dublin Hills published in conjunction with the Dublin Mountains Partnership. Chief features are the route of the newly opened Dublin Mountains Way walking trail, lands in public ownership, car parks and public access points to the hills, also highlighting a selection of outdoor recreational facilities. Large scale, clear detail with 10 metre contouring. Printed on high quality Pretex 120 gsm paper. Water resistant and tear resistant.

This map is essentially a sub set of the data on our Dublin & North Wicklow Mountains sheet but the focus is on the recreational opportunities in the region. More detail on the Dublin Mountains Partnership can be found at www.dublinmountains.ie The chief differences are the larger scale with the map boundary extending out a little past the M/N11 - this includes the Dargle valley as well as Carrickgolligan etc. We have incorporated 10 metre contouring but I'd add that there is little extra terrain definition - something we hope to address in the future. The map is printed both sides - eastern and western region with a generous overlap. This map highlights the new Dublin Mountains Way walking route and land that is held in public ownership. The new mountain bike trails under construction at Three Rock are included as well as permanent orienteering course locations.

The Dublin Mountains Map is available to purchase in the Wicklow Way Shop for €9.00 plus delivery costs.
