Ashfield House is a cosy home set in a pretty garden, located right on the Wicklow Way where it nestles in the tranquillity of the surrounding hill farms within 2km of the picturesque village of Tinahely. Arriving guests are welcomed with complimentary tea or coffee and homemade cookies.
Wicklow Way walkers wishing to spend a second day at Ashfield House can avail of the important amenities in Tinahely such as banking facilities, post office and laundrette. There’s also a pleasant 4km walk along the Old Railway Trail and on into the ancient and beautiful Tomnafinnogue Oak Wood. The return journey can, with a bit of easy map reading be via the famous Dying Cow and then northwards along the Wicklow Way. Alternatively retrace the outward journey, stopping off in one of the village watering holes to enjoy a well earned pint, and maybe a bit of the local banter.
