Trooperstown Wood Lodge is closely connected with the running of the highly-acclaimed Wicklow Heather Restaurant in Laragh. Although the house may be a little further off the Wicklow Way than some of the other accommodation in the area, free transport is offered between the Restaurant and the Bed and Breakfast.
Once there, walkers can avail of a range of facilities; from taking a bicycle out to further explore the area, to chatting with other guests whilst enjoying coffee on the patio area or just relaxing in the sunny reading room. If the day in the hills has been too exhausting, guests can retreat to their room and enjoy a film from a library of around 200 dvds.
Breakfast can be enjoyed at the local 'Wicklow Heather Restaurant'. The restaurant comes recommended by the popular food critic Paolo Tullio. All food is freshly prepared using locally-sourced produce where possible.
