Coolakay House is a 19th century farmhouse offering all the luxuries expected of a modern home in Ireland. Its location has breathtaking views of the Wicklow hills and mountains in the Enniskerry/Glencree area.
Wicklow Way walkers can avail of transport between Coolakay House and Crone Wood car park. Evening meals are available and packed lunches can also be ordered for the following day’s trek.
Walkers wishing to spend an extra day in the area will enjoy the trip to Powerscourt Waterfall, just a short distance away while, a little further afield, Enniskerry offers Powerscourt House and Gardens and the tranquil setting of Knocksink Woods to explore.
Coolakay's adjoining farm raises both sheep and beef cattle. In addition there’s a farm museum which displays many artefacts used on Irish farms in years gone by.
Coolakay House is Fáilte Ireland Approve; all the bedrooms have en-suite bathroom facilities and are equipped with television. A laundry service and use of ironing board is available on request.
